- This car is a testament to how much more we could be doing. If a major car company were to pick this up and mass produce it, we could all be driving electric cars by the end of the decade, instead it falls to an ambitious few with vision and smarts. There is no reason not to love this car, and the spirit of progress it represents.

*drool* This is truly awesome! I knew someone could build an electric car that rocks. Now if only they can bring the price down to something reasonable...
From a great article in the SJ Mercury News: "The driving experience -- other than the silence and the clean air -- closely mirrors driving a regular sports car. Insert the key, shift into second and hit what used to be called the gas pedal. In the Tesla, acceleration is instantaneous with loads of mid-range torque."
