- I've read about 30 from each list. You should check out the TIME Magazine All-Time 100 Greatest Novels - radically different!

MamaJS rated 7 months ago- The variety of books represented on these lists is a bit limited, but it's a start. I LOVE lists of books, like to see how many I've read thus far, if I agree (does anyone hate Conrad's Heart of Darkness as much as I do? am I really the only one?) and how many left on the list I still want to read.

ThusTheStorySays rated 7 months ago- the continuing story of the page (part 3) AIDS returned home to his apartment in the city of aragaginstein he was fully prepared to write his report on the genocide in atlantis having bought a new ream of paper from a near by store he sat at his desk and slid the pages into his typewriter however he found that no words relating to the story could spill from his fingertips(5) he sat at his desk for some three hours when there came a rapping a tapping as it were at his front door with a sigh he got to his feet and answered the door where he was met by a mailman holding a package AIDS signed for the package and took inside although he could not remember expecting anything he opened the brown box and found another box this one blue with the words "the box of truth and all knowledge" printed on it in large messy strokes quite likely made by a sharpie he was fully prepared to open the box when a man with blue skin riding a skateboard crashed through his window the man scrambled to his feet and dusted the shattered glass from his peculiar clothing his eyes were three times as large as any mans should be as were his lips he smiled tremendously with those lips and walked to the box of truth snatching it from AIDS hands you dont want to open this the man said ill just take it with me and be on my way but it was addressed to me AIDS said and id rather like to know whats inside no you dont the man replied you do not want to know whats inside and the box was addressed wrong now good day sir but i said good day sir(6) and the blue skinned man hopped upon his skateboard and was clearly prepared to leave AIDS thought this was entirely rude and so he said stop thief the blue skinned man spun about quickly and grabbed AIDS by the shoulders what you call me human well thats what you are you are taking my package from me without explaining why are you aware that the word thief is a grievous insult (7) on my planet? no i and the blue skin man head butted poor AIDS with his hard and thick skull that all blue skinned men are blessed with at birth AIDS was sent spilling to the floor quite out of his wits and the blue skinned man laughed at him and again took to his skateboard which happened to be a flying skateboard and propelled him along with the box of truth back out the window (5) this is due to a most peculiar rule originally written by the god wrytersblokicon who stated that each story is meant to be written on a certain piece of paper and each word belongs only to that sheet of paper and that any sheet of paper upon which one tries to juxtapose any similar words will explode and of course this knowledge is imprinted into the conscience of every human being and so they will unwittingly refuse to write a story they had begun before if the pages are not those they had originally selected for the task (6) it just so happens that referential humor was decreed the only kind of humor that is acceptable or indeed even humorous on the planet where the blue skinned man originated which will not be revealed at this time because the author has quite forgotten what that planet is or the customs that may or may not differ from our own suffice it to say that the blue skinned man comes from a place where humor is in fact dead (7) thief was deemed a most insulting word on the planet of the blue skinned man when a comedian by the name of mario lopez journeyed from it and did his act throughout the universe but as it turns out repeating others material is considered not very funny by most of the rest of the intelligent universe and so mario lopez was often mocked and ridiculed and called a thief of comedy and so he returned ashamed to his home planet where he eventually ended his own life the people of the blue skinned planet mourned his passing for many days for he was an icon amongst them and from that day forward anyone who was caught using the word thief was immediately head butted as is about to happen to AIDS just about now
