From the page: "Welcome to a world of rough roads, rum, world history, ecology, geography and human nature. Notes from the Road is a project in experimental travel writing - it is about subjective travel; the kind of real world of random things and real people." extremely well done site, unbelievable amount of travelling, beautiful, gentle photography. Bit of a social and environmental justice bent too. The site is an absolute pleasure to navigate, the structure really is well done.

Wonderful photographs and well designed site. Especially for the wandering soul tied to one place ~ only really looked at the Tangiers portion but especially liked how colourfull background info was added, without distracting from the enjoyment.

An off-road mastermind in experimental travel writing! Hand drawn maps, and as it happens random photography with an antique camera joined with a unique writing style to produce an award winning site that will make you come back for more breathtaking, delicious visual experiences! This is one of my favorite spots on the web.

Wow, this guy is so clearly at peace with himself OR maybe just the opposite. He must know something special in order to capture the spirit of Neah Bay as exquisitely as he did. Thank you. Thank you.
