Whether you are pessimistic or optimistic about the situation of this child, you must respect the seriousness she displays in helping others. She has a clear goal in mind that is being fueled by her natural abilities. When one considers the mature level of her poetry along with her situation it seem...

"Her art, her poetry, her life"??? Her life? She's only about 3! What life? Her pictures are horrible. I can imagine them on biker t-shirts. This little girl makes me sick. Or rather her insane pushy mother does. Apparently the little prodigy went to heaven aged 4 which is where she got her crappy skills. She can't remember it herself but her mum assures her this happened. Riiiiiight.Born under water to boot. Cunt.

She has technical skill, but I would not consider her a prodigy. It is certainly not impossible to learn to paint photorealistically at that age, but it does make me question her parents motives. Her paintings are not very original or imaginitive. You would think God would have a better message for us than "look at this giant picture of what everyone assumes Jesus looked like" and "ooo dolphins". It all just feels like a big marketing ploy to me.

Excellent marketing probably resulting in life long psychiatric counceling sessions for this child... Blech.

Wow, she's a great artist. But her art reminds me of those scary Jehovah's Witnesses pamphlets showing the end of the world.

Her art shows remarkable maturity and depth. If religion be the inspiration behind her art, so be it. It certainly works for her!

The paintings are beautiful, and for that, this site gets a thumb up. But all that talk about God think this and God wants me to do that is just plain scary.

I'm 5'5"-5'6". Painted things that were 8' tall either by using a ladder or working flat on the ground. Not difficult to do... even an eight year old can figure it out. I'll take the child's skill as a given unless proven otherwise. For a pre-teen, it shows good handle of the medium and a critical eye for proportion. Judging by the level of emotional complexity the paintings convey, the creator of it definitely has the simple, untarnished mind and pure unquestioned faith of a child. I would hope that this child IS the painter because she's got a great technical start. She can spend the time that most artists do learning the basics to really hone an idiosyncratic style... because looked at objectively (forgetting her age and the currently divisive topic of religion in America) her images are just ok.
