dtekt rated 9 months ago- Why is marijuana illegal? - A brief history of the criminalization of cannabis

selfsearcher rated 9 months ago- I like this site because it's not only a point of view but a detailed explanation of something I ignored until today. Thank you!

NeonBlondeKitty rated 9 months ago- hemp cloth is more waterproof, and softer than cotton. AND! more flame retardant. Different plant, same family.... irony?! I think not.

SageRave rated 10 months ago- There is really no reason for most drug restrictions, other than certain racial groups tend to use them. That is probably the truest motive in keeping marijuana illegal. The prisons can be filled with minorities. It's just a passive form of genocide.

B-athome rated 10 months ago- From the page: "Many people assume that marijuana was made illegal through some kind of process involving scientific, medical, and government hearings; that it was to protect the citizens from what was determined to be a dangerous drug. The actual story shows a much different picture. Those who voted on the legal fate of this plant never had the facts, but were dependent on information supplied by those who had a specific agenda to deceive lawmakers. You'll see below that the very first federal vote to prohibit marijuana was based entirely on a documented lie on the floor of the Senate."

KRokker rated 10 months ago- I've seen this page b4. It is great!

slystu rated 10 months ago- This page gives an incredibly detailed history of marijuana smoking in the US, and makes for a very interesting read whether you smoke it or not.
