I heard the difference easily. Although, I must commend the site for making such good rips. The 128 kbps file didn't sound as shabby as usual.

For most any other type of music or audio clip you WILL notice a difference. This clip was selected on purpose.

I couldn't tell the difference, I only managed to guess right... Maybe being in my high school band for so many years killed my hearing already. Although most likely my laptop's speakers are too crappy to make a difference.

I could start to hear the difference after a few listens. It's there just have to concentrate on hearing.
