- I chose this image not because it was the best, but because it was the only one small enough to bookmark. Iman Maleki is a super-realist (hyper realist?) painter. There is one quite engaging image of a man with a book on his face that has the quiet yet disordered feel of a Magritte or a Vettriano. I don't understand why this had so many good reviews: So here's my negative review to even out the score. This should not have been tagged as Art. People are always tagging crap.

- This artist is Iman Maleki. Born in 1976 in Tehran, he studied under Iran's best realist. I strongly encourage a visit to the site and a look at his stunning works. Juxtaposed against the hideous occupation in Irag and in Palestine and the scorched, raw, images that war-presidents love are photos of the innate beauty of the people. How I long for a return to the beauty, the poetry, the gardens, those lovely faces breaking into such beautiful smiles!
