Laurel700 rated 3 months ago- I don't know why I kept clicking pages when many of the images of Memphis are so downright ugly. Maybe it's because Ned has captured something in those images that is hard to put into words. Then, there are those images that are so poignant you feel like you are right there. This is some great work.

Uncle Ned took us all over Memphis today.
Maybe it's because I LIVE music and movies, but I
feel more at home there than I do in New Zealand.
Even the most humble houses fascinate
me and the trees are better.
How strange -- "better" than New Zealand trees!
It's not that the place is beautiful but that it is
interesting, and that Ned can
tell us stories about them.
"Here's where BB King used to play", there's where
Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash etc made their recordings . . .

- I was attracted to this blog by the amusing name of the stumbler only to discover some great photos of Memphis that seem to capture the spirit of the place so well. Having never been there I feel as though I just visited.
