washdude rated 3 months ago- finally something that can help those in need

rahrahmah rated 3 months ago- Oh my god, something that gives me hope for once.

tkelly rated 3 months ago- A very good and practical solution to a serious problem in a politically unstable part of the world. I'm going back to their web page to see if they are recyclable. I would hate to imagine them scattered all over the country side.

peterryanhamilto rated 3 months ago- I want one!

- Paraphrased from the page (for anyone wondering what the specs are)-- Active Ingredients: Halogenated resin, Granular activated carbon (silver-impregnated); Filters: 2 stage particle filtration - filters particles from 125 micron down to minimal 15 micron; Capacity: Minimum 700 litres or 1 year* (*calculated approximately on consumption of 2 litre water/day); Shelf-life: 3 years when stored in shade and exposed to maximum 30º C; I couldn't find pricing information for the straw version, but the LifeStraw Family is $15, and it can filter 17,000 liters of water. (Just for fun: if they price the Personal version relative to how much less water it can filter than the Family version, it should be 61 cents...)

MamanAuren rated 3 months ago- Exactly what novus-questus said. Notice how replacement filters are just casually not mentioned? :: grr ::

Aa1usa rated 3 months ago- Help the world give a little.

simplyimagineit rated 3 months ago- This is yet another awesome idea for a quick remedy until other more sophisticated sytems can be put into place.

- This seems like a good idea, but I think it would be a whole lot better if they decide to like...make a filtering water system for the community itself instead of for each person.
