There is nothing new in a government lying to their people to start a war. Indeed because most people prefer living in peace to bloody and horrific death in war, any government that desires to initiate a war usually lies to their people to create the illusion that support for the war is the only possible choice they can make.

Its ok screaming about controversial moments in time and to be fair some of the arguments on this website are proberly true, but you will need to be very naive if you believe most of them.Usually i would give sites like this a thumbs up,but unfortunately i really cant this time.Being a Skeptic proof is needed here there is none.

I knew about FDR lying, and there's no reason to think that all the others didn't do it as well. Politicians = Evil.

I am sure we needed to defend ourselves from the Nazi's. However, this lying to the people is just not right. In fact it should be stopped, and the guilty parties should be held accountable. I don't know about FDR, but I do know about George Bush and he has been very naughty. See http://bushliar.newcovenanttheology.com

"All war is based on deception." -- Sun Tzu, The Art of War. However you feel about the current situation in Iraq it is worth looking at evidence about the start of the war. This site provides a narrow viewpoint but it should be read nontheless.
