- I am actually shocked people get treated like that for being atheist, in America. I guess that's because I'm British and we seem to be pretty accepting of all religions.

- Girl has guts, but you have to wonder whether Dad isn't using her as a proxy to stir up trouble. That said, it does seem that this public school is not only allowing, but endorsing, prayer at school events -- the charges of persecution, etc. are anecdotal and unclear. The report itself is suspect: Right from the beginning it seems a little too determined to tell a story of intolerance. It gives very little time to the other side and it doesn't even bother to investigate the veracity of all the charges flying around.

- How disappointing (and fucking illegal, I believe). What good is being religious if you're doing such damage to your gospel? Let us hope justice is served. It's time for a wake up call.

- Some similar stuff happened to me at school as a rather outspoken atheist... I wasn't on a basketball team or anything but people did start calling me satanist. But laughing in their faces seemed to make them be quiet and not everybody was a dick to me. The teachers were cool about it. The top person in our class was a christian douche though and we always argued.

- This is insane. Christians expect to be treated with respect but they can't do the same for other people? I'm also an atheist living in a predominately Christian town in the south and when people find out that i'm not a Baptist, they call me a satanist and tell me that i'll burn in hell and they try to convert me on the spot. I don't say the pledge of allegiance and I don't participate in our morning "moment of silence" at school and you would think I had 6 eyes or something! It's about time for atheists to stand up and say something.

- Whats funny about this is that it's reminscent of how blacks were treated in the '50s - and that was a terrible crime against human nature!!!

- THIS is Christian behavior??? I think not. This humiliation goes so far beyond supposed Christian beliefs that it's absurd. Just another example of why I myself will not be caught up in that insanity. Watch the video...and tell me what YOU think.
