I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this. It comes down to California is worried about losing federal money. The "War On Drugs" is just as corrupt or more so than any other "real" war. My opinion on drug tests: The most blatant and obvious violation of our fifth amendment right imaginable.

From the page: " The American Medical Association advocates keeping marijuana classified as a tightly controlled and dangerous drug that should not be legalized until more research is done" what exactly is MORE research..

Welcome to the land of catch 22! If it's not affecting this guys ability to do his job with competence then why is it such a big deal? Also, it's one thing if the guy is stoned at work; unprofessional, they have the right to fire, but if he's fired just because it's in his bloodstream, well then fuck them. THC stays in the system (fat soluble)from 2-6 weeks depending on frequency of use so that's unfair unless they can prove he's stoned at work.

I will never understand why they won't legalize it already...doesn't make sense...second hand smoke kills...but its ok to go out for a cigarette break...but potsmokers who mind their business can't do the same thing...ASSHOLES.

What bullshit. Drug tests are bullshit. Get over it. Marijuana should be legalized. Period.

Employers can fire workers who use medical marijuana even if it was legally recommended by a doctor, the California Supreme Court ruled Thursday, dealing the state another setback in its standoff with federal law enforcement.
