Far from being anti-captialist, they merely call attention to overabundance of consumerism, and frequently target companies that manufacture goods that are unhealthy, e.g. tobacco companies, McDonald's etc. Don't miss the 'spoof ads' link, it's 'truth in advertising' that you'll never see the corporations admitting. Joe Chemo instead of Joe Camel, Absolut Impotence with an Absolut vodka bottle looking a little limp, etc.
Zeitgiest rated 27 months ago- If any media was "liberal",they would run the ads this organization puts out. They are willing to pay the going rates, yet are denied. Why,one might ask?
Easy answer.
Do check on who actually OWNS the media.5 corporations.5 corporations who are conservative.Check the owners and their contributions to conservative causes/politicans.Why would GE want to discuss nuclear reduction on "their" media when they supply the bomb activation switches-why,there goes a profit windfall-not good for GE profits! What ya don't know will kill ya,folks.

como006 rated 28 months ago- A great site... full of great ideas. I think rbairos misses the point somewhat. I feel the site is saying things have gone a tad too far down the consumer, consume all way. It's more about 'does one need this or simply want it'.
rbairos rated 29 months ago- Another magazine propagating the myth people were happier in simpler times. Chances are, people who believes that, are reminiscing about their childhoods, and not the average lifestyle of the fully grown adults around them. As far as consumerism, Id rather India be more like the US, as opposed to the US become more like India. Immigration records would agree.
renhermite rated 30 months ago- You simply can't find the activism of Adbusters in other magazines and cultural Group. Hella great job
Vox rated 32 months ago- it's so confusing that I can't figure out what it means by reading the front page. If I can't do that then it's getting a thumbs down.
