A very nice estimation tool (scraping tax assessment data) for real estate vultures out there: arm yourself with comp data and price trend macro data in your back pocket, hit the houseshowings, and start flinging lowball offers everywhere! Pull out softening price curve data, projected interest rate increases, and make a compelling case as to why 10-15% below asking is quite reasonable. :) Not precise, but good for ball-parking (Zillow was about 7% below what I actually sold my last place for). inaccurate pricing, they seem to just be using the real estate tax information. i dont see how this would be useful if you were really buying or selling

I was trying to find a house (I had the street address) on an aerial map but street numbers don't show up on aerials (unless you're CIA, NSA, etc :P OR you have zillow!) My first thought was that this was neat. My second thought was that this was scary how someone can learn so much about you so easily. @_@

this could be totally arbitrary and i would still think it was worth nosing around. lets us kids get together and make a sistersite that rates the appr. taxable value of grafitti covered abandoned buildings. then let me know where i can find the dude that owes all the back taxes and then put a bunch of grafitti iNsIdE the building. then wifi, a skateboard ramp and some bean bag chairs. swAnk
