How Users Read on the Web

This is all true, but it's sad that we are becoming so used to scanning information off the web and not really digesting it. Shouldn't web designers be confident enough in their designs that they encourage the reader to read every word?

I am proud to say that the web team I used to work with in San Diego was designated one of the "Top Ten Intranets" in 2001, by Mr. Nielsen. I learned a lot about usability during that time and in the ensuing years. There is a psychology that we must learn in order to communicate effectively with our web site visitors. And that, my friends, is no small feat.
