don't like it? don't shop there, douchebags...your disrespect for people doing their job is stupid as fuck...it's THEIR store, they have their own policies...if you haven't stolen anything, you have no reason to complain...if a sensor goes off, it's either a misscan or defective equipment, which in turn saves the store money, which in turn saves YOU money...so shut the fuck up...

There are no bags here (one of the many cost-saving measures) but you may gather empty boxes from a designated area and organize things yourself, once you have paid. It's a warehouse, after all. In any event, at this point a customer is at least 20 feet from any merchandise, with no access to the store unless they return through the checkout line. There's nothing between you and the exit, except another employee who must check your receipt and mark it with a highlighting marker. Never mind that all of the items in your cart, which have obviously been paid for, were also placed there by a Costco employee. One problem with this receipt-checking system is that on busy days it forces customers to form long lines at the exit. On some of my visits, I decided to roll past this line with my items, now that I owned them, and head straight to my car. The first time I tried this, a woman shouted at me to return to the store. I believe she was still yelling "Sir! Sir!" as I departed Patton Creek and approached the interstate ramp. I wouldn't know; I was listening to a CD I had just purchased at Costco. It was my CD, you understand. Why not enjoy it?"

MajorFaversham rated 2 months ago- This guy has obviously never worked in retail and is an ass on top of it all. I worked in retail for 13 years and this was the type of customer we all dreaded. I'm sure he also purposefully takes a full shopping cart through the Express Lane just to exercise his right to do whatever he feels like just to stick it to the big corporations. The problem is that he is punishing the hourly workers who are trying to do their jobs. I'll just bet he also will carry on a loud cell phone conversation and then get pissed when the clerk is trying to wait on him. He is the reason there is poor customer service across the board.

smebro rated 2 months ago- Quantum shifting right now. I enjoyed reading this article, also enjoyed seeing the reviews of people who are irrationally angered by this (irrational from my perspective, of course) go on and have a look at the helpful advice like 'Don't shop at walmart'.

anaxchronistic rated 2 months ago- I fully intend on sprinting out of retail stores from now on.

- I know I'm not stealing and I know it takes longer to argue about (of all the silly things to get worked up about) letting the Walmart flying monkey check my receipt than just letting the old man or woman do their job.

- I'm all for anti-authoritarianism, but why the hell are you shopping at Wally-Mart in the first place? Did you miss the memo that they're evil incarnate? Come on, folks. Use a little discretion.

BiosyntheticLife rated 3 months ago- Store "policies" vs laws.

vanetia rated 3 months ago- Although I don't completely agree with this guy's view (I understand why the store feels the need to ensure their merchandise isn't being stolen), he has some good stories. It's a fun read regardless of whether or not you take up his view. And if you do agree, then try these things for yourself! I'd love to be around to witness something like this for the sheer entertainment :)
