- It would be easier to just install and use Linux than go through all that trouble. Why not just use Linux?

- Sometimes it's like SU can read my mind. I am about to format my machine and downgrade from Vista to XP (I can't put up with Vista anymore) This is a good list of programs some of which I use some of which I am now going to try. Admittedly you should overlook some of the bad choices like the RAM defragmenter.

- I've now moved away from Windows and deleted the partition from my hard drive, using Linux 100% of the time - but I do have a VirtualBox XP VM on here which is justified by some of the software on this list.
Mediamonkey for instance, is still my audio cataloguer/manager of choice (I use MPD for music playback) and MusicBrainz Picard seems to pander to my obsessive compulsive tagging/meta-data tendencies. - I've now moved away from Windows and deleted the partition from my hard drive, using Linux 100% of the time - but I do have a VirtualBox XP VM on here which is justified by some of the software on this list.
