TONYYB rated 36 months ago- If these people know so much, how come they're not at Gods' house right now watching TV and having dinner?

ArmyChief rated 36 months ago- At issue here is not whether I agree with each and every CARM position, but rather the fact that this is a pretty well organized site, and I enjoy the field of apologetics. Why? Simply put, in order for a person's faith to be truly valid and worthy of his or her full confidence, it needs to be able to withstand questioning and reexamination. A lot of committed Christians are not at all acquainted with the rational basis for their own beliefs, and CARM does offer some substantive food for thought.

MaxwellDemon rated 36 months ago- Hm. I humbly suggest that all you people giving this the thumbs-down are using wrong criteria to rate your pages. I am not a fundamentalist/Evangelical/Christian/etc. I'm pretty sure there's not a sentence on this site that I agree with.
However, I think that rating pages based solely on whether or not you agree with their ideology defeats the purpose of Stumble. I won't vote up each and every page endorsing evolution/secular-humanism, even those which are obviously written by scizophrenic, cocaine-addicted lemurs with bad design sense, spitting out poorly-worded versions of old arguments in HTML that looks like it came from 1996. Neither will I vote down each and every page which is written by or appeals to Christians or fundamentalists.
This happens to be a high-quality, fairly comprehensive resource if you, like me, are a non-Christian interested in researching and keeping abreast of fundamentalist thinking. It might even be interesting if you yourself are (*gasp!*) a Christian (and, shame, shame, shame on you if you are ;) )- Hm. I humbly suggest that all you people giving this the thumbs-down are using wrong criteria to rate your pages. I am not a fundamentalist/Evangelical/Christian/etc. I'm pretty sure there's not a sentence on this site that I agree with.

IrishYankee rated 37 months ago- the ultimate hate site from you over enthusiastic xians!

lorac rated 37 months ago- From the page: "This comprehensive website offers a Christian defense for just about any assault on the faith." This group is evangalistic; just about all of the mainstream christian religions are characterized as "non-christian cults". The writer is a very shallow thinker who thinks he has the one and only true way. Yeah, right. I read his pages on what to say to an atheist and mistakes atheists and christians make in talking to each other. He is desperate to convert, so he misses the point that when basic assumptions are widely different, the discussions become almost non-sensical. I have learned over time to not even bother to engage in a theological discussion. Whatever happened to - you go your way and I'll go mine.

KeiraKay rated 37 months ago- Good site

jgweissman rated 38 months ago- I read through some of this guy's posted conversations. He is very big on rhetoric, trickery, and arguing who has the most relevant academic authority, and doesn't provide any substance, which would be impossible, given the position he wants to support. His masters of theology is not worth a minor in an actual science, which is accountable to reality.

Dracil rated 38 months ago- This isn't Christianity, this is Fundamentalism. Unfortunately, some people would rather be a Fundie than a Christian.

1VB-Michlos rated 39 months ago- I am a christian and a firm believer but a lot of what these guys are saying has NOTHING to do with living a christian life. *sigh*
