amynewyork4248 rated 3 months ago- Meh. I vehemently disagree with the war as well, but you sign a contract. No one forced his hand.

NikoKun rated 3 months ago- Good for him... I wish more soldiers would do like him.

webapathy rated 3 months ago- Perhaps he sees this as standing up for what the MAJORITY of Americans believe - that we should never have been there in the first place.

kassandraproject rated 3 months ago- From the page: ""Never in my life did I ever imagine I would have to disobey my president. But then again, never did I imagine my president would lie to go to war, condone torture, spy on Americans, or destroy the career of a CIA agent for political gain. I would rather resign in protest, but the army doesn't agree.""

MathsDude rated 3 months ago- Right I am deeply disappointed to see so many thumbs down; so hear goes because I doubt most of you guys have got a clue. How many of you have actually been in the Army? I have and in fact for two years as part of Compulsory National Service. The truth is whether it is compulsory national service or whether it is you joining on free will there are laws. Yes you lose the right to object and speak up BUT.... That is only in the case when you are not in breach of other laws such as human rights. Secondly people join the Army to defend their country. Not to fight wars in other countries where you should not be sticking your nose in. Lt. Ehren Watada had every right to do what he did. He joined the Army to protect America's freedom and ended up fighting dirty wars based on power, money, greed and oil, NOT freedom. So all of you who so claim he is a coward should look themselves closely in the mirror before judging other people. If that is the case, I will leave you with this question: If you were ordered to go to a tiny village and kill everyone including women and children, would you do it??? According to most of you, you guys would. Yeah let me try and see you live with that thought for the rest of your lives.
