outofarea12 rated 11 months ago- and going and going and going ...

crazyjack84 rated 11 months ago- i saw that first on mythbusters. the amount of voltage it makes barely does jack, but at least they were able to make something back then.

korna rated 12 months ago- This is the Baghdad Battery and it is believed to be about 2000 years old. The jar produces about 1.1 volts. It's incredible what we have lost during the dark ages. This reminds me of that Greek clock work.

- Interesting, what a pity that we did not advance faster when we could have done so!

IaGadgetGuy rated 12 months ago- I saw an episode on Mythbusters not to long ago that referred to this battery.. I'm glad to finally see it..

Noadi rated 12 months ago- I've stumbled sites talking about this as a "mystery" battery with all sorts of really ridiculous speculation on it's use. It's great to finally see this amazing piece of ancient technology given a serious practical explanation.
