Bizzlefrits rated 8 months ago- If everyone gave these some serious thought, there'd be more happiness in the world. Sure they're simple (that's kind of the point) and perhaps overgeneralize how to react to real world experiences, but so what? If it helps you out, it's a good thing.

TMacForsyth rated 8 months ago- I'm surprised by how often I use these every day.

lillasantula rated 8 months ago- from the page "Listen to your intuition, but do not believe it unconditionally"

These aren't mental fucking heuristics, this page is just ANOTHER stupid, meaningless, glib-avational self-help bullshit site. That's right, I said GLIB-AVATIONAL. I made up a new word, because there are so many of these fucking "how to live your life properly" pages circulating, a term needed to be coined to capture their flaky, shallow, pseudo-sagacity.
A mental heuristic is an automated thought short-cut: for example, automatically assuming your psychology class will have more women than men because ALL of your previous psychology classes have had more women than men. They aren't even always GOOD short-cuts, they're just automatic decision-making routines burned into our brains from frequent use.
"If you want something done right, do it yourself" isn't a cognitive heuristic, it's a rather tired adage (and NOT one that will necessarily save you any time).
Oh, and did that TRANS-HUMANISM link at the bottom of the page freak anyone else out?

luckyhit rated 8 months ago- Helpful advice to remember.

isshe rated 8 months ago- they forgot "never trust that clicking the stumble button will bring you to a worthwhile page".

edwardmills rated 8 months ago- Simple rules to keep in mind.

JesseMat rated 8 months ago- Did this website really just say, "Here's how to think more efficiently: Don't think, just do it"?
What the hell is that?- Did this website really just say, "Here's how to think more efficiently: Don't think, just do it"?
