- Interesting how yoga is such an effective form of bodywork, automatically including pressure point therapy.

all-is-passion rated 7 months ago- From the page: " Bridge Pose 1. Lie on your back. 2. Bend your knees so that the soles of your feet are flat on the floor. 3. Put your arms above your head on the floor and relax them. 4. Inhale, arching the pelvis up. Hold for several seconds. 5. Exhale as you slowly come down. Continue to inhale up and exhale down for one minute. 6. Relax on your back with your eye's closed for a few minutes. - The Asanas which are an elementary part of Yoga do have an effect on the entire nervous system and the body's chemistry. It develops suppleness of the spine, muscles, in order to remain youthful and healthy. But this is not the final aim of Yoga. The most important aspect is meditation. The author of this Site describes one method and that too meditation on breath but this one methodology cannot help everyone. This is what the ancient Rishis (of the Vedas), Sages (of the Upanishads), yogins and Tantrics discovered so they experimented through various methods to reach the ultimate source of everything i.e. Consciousness. No doubt the author of this Site presents his viewpoint only from the physical aspect and describes one simple method of meditation. Overall the Site needs to add more techniques for the benefit of all.
