From the page: "Wubi is an unofficial Ubuntu installer for Windows users that will bring you into the Linux world with a single click. Wubi allows you to install and uninstall Ubuntu as any other application. If you heard about Linux and Ubuntu, if you wanted to try them but you were afraid, this is for you."

tried it.... about 5 times.... really, the boot loader it installs by default breaks so effing easily, it's depressing. I believe that after this piece of *useful if you're not an obsessive customizer, but otherwise* trash, and witnessing the battle between my dvd-rom drive, and the ubuntu installer cd, I'll go back to fedora.... their distro works for more than 10 hours after I install it =|

I had no problems using this - in fact, i've since recommended it to several other people as a way to play with linux without risking damage to their existing Windows installation. It was nice to be able to use it with all the bells and whistles, rather than under a poorly supported VM.

Tried this and it works great, heaps easier than stuffing around with resizing partitions and such, but still no comparison to a Legit "real" install.
