- I found this article about the debate of legalizing marijuana the most informative article I have yet to read as to why the drug had been ruled illegal. It points to racism and social standing of immigrants and blacks and their usage of a drug that was known to be widely used by all races, as the key to why it was illegalized. Now whether or not this is fact. I am not sure the author seemed to have legitimate facts supporting his view. I think it an interesting read and worthy of a glance if your searching for information on who started the illegalization of marijuana. I think many would be surprised to find the dates of illegalization and who started it. Check it out.

- The government needs to legalize it, and soon. The crime rate would fall, prisons would have more room for people with ACTUAL crimes, millions of hemp products would be on the market, jobs would open, and the government would make a TON of money off marijuana. If they made prerolled joints and sold them at gas stations, the taxes could be regulated and everything would be so much better. The stress of the general population would lower too. pitchdiesel, how can you POSSIBLY say that we don't know enough about it? That's the same excuse Hillary Clinton used when she was asked about it. We know everything about it. Literally. You don't think scientists have studied the plant for almost 60 years? We don't know enough? Are you kidding? As a former pot smoker, you should know that it's not addictive. You quit smoking, didn't you? As far as psychological issues are concerned, if people are already crazy, then they smoke pot, it probably won't help them too much as far as stopping them from being crazy. Schizophrenia is only in effect for people who are already schizophrenic. You need to take things into perspective and stop thinking it's such a bad thing.
