It´s interesting how very few people can understand the Bible as the collection of many tales with a lot of metaforic stories. And I´m talking a bout christian, atheists and everyone else.

Awesome. I highly recommend the Penn & Teller Bullshit episode on the Bible as well. Their Jesus/Elvis analogy is hilarious. And apt.

From the page: "Plants are made on the third day before there was a sun to drive their photosynthetic processes". People didn't know about photosynthetic processes when they wrote the bible. The church didn't even accept that the Earth revolved around the sun until the 1800's. I was in a debate over religion with this baptist from my school...he didn't believe in evolution. I asked him how he could explain dino bones. He said god put them there to test his faith. You can't argue with logic like that. Yeeck.
