A bit of good information, but I think the writer watched the Da Vinci Code one to many times. Hopefully it will spark someone's interest to do more research on their own.

Templars are a important and beloved topic in my opinion, but the site is extremely superficial and simplistic

If you thought it was bad then just wait about 10 more years.

Allow me to jump ahead to the Masons. My family has a history with the Masons; my Grandpaw was a high degree(32nd degree?) mason and all he ever said about it was that Masons were "men of character". My Daddy,s best friend had a Christian funeral but a Mason graveside service(ritual?!). Goatskin aprons, hand gestures, odd quotations. Afterward, my cousin and I looked at each other and wondered "what in the hell did we just witness?" My Daddy was in for awhile. One time he told me he was writing something down at a meeting and "they slapped that pen out of my hand". Not being the sort to put up with such shit, I believe he dropped out soon after. Never would tell anything other than that. Now I need to fix the lock on my back gate to protect my goats. You know the masons and all...

There is a lot more to this history lesson but it;s not bad for the short version.

Very interesting story. I felt sorry for the two guys that got roasted. What a gruesome way to die. I don't think all of that story was true though.
