drugs illegal or not will not slow down the consumption abuse will exist regardless we compound the problem of abuse by making them illegal like treating cancer with clorox the results do not work!

I don't do any drugs, not even pot, but I agree 100% with this. If drugs like coffee, alcohol, and cigarettes are all legal, and can even kill you in excess (the latter two more than coffee, of course), it seems inconsistent to not legalize everything else. Of course, you're going to do a lot less damage to yourself with pot than you would with heroin.

good page but he got one thing wrong when he nobody is benefiting, the prison industrial system is doing quite well with prohibition as is the CIA who can use drug running to fund illegal coups.

People are stupid. If they would have just said weed I would have shrugged and moved on, but they're talking about all drugs on that page. Now I'm not an innocent here, I've done just about every drug under the sun, but I'm also 2 years from my Doctorate in pharmacy.

I could elaborate on all the reasons why heroin, crack, and most designer drugs are illegal, but I'll just keep it simple. Heroin + legal = stupid.

This page has a lot true, but also some missing/warped facts. For example: the reason marijuana is illegal. It was made illegal so all those damn beaner immigrants (joke) kept coming in and having a way to make money (dealing).

Meat and coffee actually are harmful to your health in excess. This is proven fact. And some people do drink too much coffee and eat too much meat. Meat is high in cholesterol and coffee is terrible for your blood pressure. As for whether pot can be taxed, who cares? People grow their own tobacco within the law. People brew their own beer. I really fail to see why it makes a whole lot of difference whether or not the government can tax every pot plant grown, just because a lot of people will opt for the convenience of just going to the head shop rather than actually having to go out of their way for homegrown stuff. As for whether a drug dealer would sell it to you cheaper, you also have to consider what legalization would do to the prices. This guy speaks truth, 100%. The drug war is really just a war on individual freedoms and the ability of people to take responsibility for their own lives without government interference.

I agree with you Brad.. except the government wouldn't be able to tax marijuana since it's so readily available , and cheaper at your local drug dealer than it would be at some head shop. So if marijuana was legalized both would still be supported, as for other drugs it goes as you said.

If you're a drug dealer, you don't want drugs to be legalized. All of a sudden you're going to have to find a normal job to make your money. If you're a drug USER, then you DO want drugs to be legalized, so you can afford to treat your habit without committing crimes. Who would you rather support, the users or the dealers?

I agree with most of the stuff on here... but what's with the hating on meat and coffee? I'm guessing the person that wrote this is an emo vegan coffee-hater. Otherwise, nicely done.
