We've tried this. If you follow it exactly it's interesting. You're awake enough to be functional and to get stuff done, but you don't feel 100%. It's nice having the extra time each day. You DO have to follow the program very closely for it to work and it might make you an easier target for the next flu bug (less sleep might mean weaker immune system.) If you're healthy, have the discipline to follow it, and your schedule permits, give it a try.

I would love to try this. Sleep dep is my favorite altered state. However very hard when you have children.

I could never do that right now, but gotta keep in mind to try out later, a worth stumble.... and didn't understand Xzizor's point, since about 90% of the people i have met from "developed countries" (Internet and IRL) tend to not sleep much, so i just guessed they took naps through the day... if someone could give me sources to prove one thing or another, please send me a msg, i'd be grateful :D

Xzizor said it well. I did the uberman for 5 days. You can fall asleep pretty fast when you're that sleep deprived, but I was a total zombie. The one cool part was that the 5 days were like one continuous moment, but I was useless during that time.
