I've seen many flavours of these "very short tales", and I always liked them. Best combo is when you find them at bus stop. Here in Bologna sometime there's some.

The idea is very cool. It actually reminds me of some writing exercises I've heard about and one we used to do back in school. The only down side is that nearly all of the entries I read didn't actually achieve the goal of being a real story. The ones that do succeed though make the rest of the story-inklings, story beginnings and story endings worth sifting through.

StumbleUpon, for better or worse, has shortened my already short attention span. Espresso stories is PERFECT for me. Maybe you can find my submission...

Espresso Stories From the page: "The most basic rule is that they're just a sentence or two, totalling 25 words or less. Less hard-and-fast - but equally vital - are a theme, plot, characters, and narrative development. Everything you'd see in any good story - but short enough to fit into the time it takes to reach the bottom of that bitter little cup, as you ponder on how even the briefest experiences can make life more meaningful."

When they say short story, they mean it. Twnenty five words or less. All are short, but only some are stories. Do check it out today. Stories are usually shorter than this review!

Fantastic idea. A collection of very, very, very short stories. Intriguing to see how people tackle the idea. Thanks Miller.
