- there should be a way to remove a fan. Particularly if the fan is a spammer or someone you might want nothing to do with at all.

- This seems really contrary. I don't understand why a site is punished for posting context relevant stumbles. From the page: "I can't seem to post any more pages from a particular site Members who repeatedly post from a particular site (often their own) find that some of those posts fail to appear on their blog pages. We have a limit in place that prevents multiple posting from a single source. If you habitually post content from a small set of domains, you may have encountered this limit. You can verify this by thumbing a page from a site which you have not previously rated; if the rating fails only for the site which you have previously rated & reviewed, then it is likely that you have encountered the posting limit. If you wish to actively promote a site, business or service - you might find this service more appropriate: http://www.stumbleupon.com/ads/ Note that, once encountered, the limit cannot and will not be lifted."

Dear new stumblers . . .
The SU devs, unfortunately, have not made some
of the peculiar ways of Stumbleupon clear to
you but there is a very full Help file here,
which will clear up the mysteries.
Why SU doesn't include it prominently on every
page in the new design is a mystery to me.
Most importantly, there are limits to friendship.
You can "friend" only 200 people, and you
choose them generally not because they're
good-looking or friendly but because the pages they
thumb or comment on interest you as well.
This is mainly a bookmarking and site-exchanging
network, not a chatroom or play space.
To those who have requested my friendship:
I do not friend brand new stumblers!
Start thumbing and commenting so people can
learn something about you, then
they might decide to friend you.
Never ASK someone to friend you -- that is bad
manners and will only make you unpopular.
Friend more established stumblers, by all means,
and they will consider returning the favour but only
if they have not already reached the limit of
200 and like what they find on your pages.
Don't cut and paste a message to lots of stumblers;
they will see through it and never visit you again.
