From the page: "The parents of an autistic San Jose, California sixth-grader are expressing outrage that their son was put in handcuffs because he would not leave a class."

Why has this world grown increasingly intolerant of people who choose to do things their own way? Do we really have to use the excuse: "But he is autistic!" or "She has ADD!" [???] in order to become sensitive to how authorities are beginning to humiliate people into submission?

Quite frankly, I have my own labels but I would certainly hope that I wouldn't have to bring them up before court in a lawsuit when some schmuck-a-doo used excessive force on me because I did things *differently* than he would have *liked.*

It is not any authority's business as to what our labels are; they need to treat everyone with dignity and respect or do NOT treat them at all.

As I always said when I was there, these people have too much power. Worse, they are very, very dim.

Autistic kid was handcuffed and dragged away for singing in gym class. Then he was suspended for 3 days. From the page: "The San Jose Unified School District issued the following statement: The officer's actions helped to maintain a safe atmosphere for the other 30 students in the class."

this autistic kid was handcuffed and subsequently suspended for 3 days for singing in gym class. What the hell? I hate frivolous lawsuits, but if I was this kid's parent I would sue the hell out of that school! This type of shit makes me sick. What is wrong with people?
