- Yes, Valentine's Day is coming up...but that's just another day. There's no reason why a person couldn't do any one of these things, let alone a number of other original ideas, all throughout the year. This goes for the ladies too. As tough as men sometimes act, you'd be surprised how many love the little things as well ;)
Somewhere deep inside of me a hopeless romantic may still live...so yes, these things are definitely appreciated...

 DLAF rated 9 months ago- Running poems through google translator? Seriously? Or get a boyfriend who can speak something other than just English. Granted, when my boyfriend says 'romantic' things to me in Welsh, it doesn't sound half as sexy. Kind of phlegmy actually.
Most of these would not make me a happy person. Particularly if they wrote 'I love you' in the steam on the mirror (because that would mark for a while before I cleaned it again and that would fuck me off).

- I've found it's better in the long run just to treat people like normal people. If you treat them like they have some kind of cultish power over you, it sort of weirds them out. If it doesn't, you won't be able to sustain this behaviour anyway, so after a while they'll end up disliking you because it's not natural mode of behaviour. Perhaps some people can do it and still be happy, but I'd sure like to meet those people.

- romance doesn't work. it just makes their expectations much higher. love isn't like in the movies, and if it is, it doesn't last very long.
