Some people living in "democratic" countries still entertain the idea that their government answers to them and runs the show. CorpWatch might help disabuse them of this quaint (and increasingly dangerous) delusion*, and it's a good resource for those already keeping tabs on the disturbing trends in prevailing power structures. * Though this would, of course, require an open mind, an even rarer commodity than honesty in politics...
