I'd prefer a way to make my Gnome screensaver time-locked rather than shutting down the machine completely, as there are things which I'd rather keep running overnight (I sometimes like to download fresh ISOs of new Linux distributions and keep them seeding overnight while I'm not otherwise using my connection). (By the way, it's 7:31AM and I've still not been to sleep. Good job I have the day off. And now I'm off to sleep)
