Love this site for its currency, irreverence, silliness, diversity and intelligence.

It's refreshing to read a smart, realistic blog about the underlying implications of celebrity obsession and other issues from the ever-diminishing public female voice!!!!

i think I like this site. certainly it merits a closer look. The new blog from Gawker Media (Lifehacker) for women. "To put it simply, Jezebel is a blog for women that will attempt to take all the essentially meaningless but sweet stuff directed our way and give it a little more meaning, while taking more the serious stuff and making it more fun, or more personal, or at the very least the subject of our highly sophisticated brand of sex joke."

Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés Our civilizations condition and socialize us. But you know that deep in you, you have a yearning to be wild, experience your life more fully by relying on your instincts. Are you still trying to find your pack? Reading this book, living and breathing this book is bound then to transform and restore you and unlock riches of your soul-life, you knew was there all along - even if you had no idea how to access it. Clarissa Pinkola Estés, a Jungian analyst, poet and Wild Woman's first book will compel you to read it more than once, delve into it over and over again as you grow ever more strong and wild while your soul is nourished by the ancient wisdom of our collective conscience handed from generation to generation via legends, myths, fairy tales and folklore. Who is Wild Woman? This book is not about being extreme and fanatical, but about being passionate and authentic, connected to your true nature. In the words of Estés: "A healthy woman is much like a wolf: robust, chock-full, strong life force, life-giving, territorially aware, inventive, loyal, roving. Yet separation from the wildish nature causes a woman's personality to become meager, thin, ghosty, spectral. We are not meant to be puny with frail hair and inability to leap up, inability to give chase, to birth, to create a life. When women's lives are in stasis, ennui, it is always time for the wildish woman to emerge; it is time for the creating function of the psyche to flood the delta...It means to establish territory, to find one's pack, to be in one's body with certainty and pride regardless of the body's gifts and limitations, to speak and act in one's behalf, to be aware, alert, to draw on the innate feminine powers of intuition and sensing, to come into one's cycles, to find what one belongs to, to rise with dignity, to retain as much consciousness as we can." This broadly researched work presents valuable guidance for contemporary Wild Women. According to Estés, women and wolves partake in a psychic bond with regard to their intensity, grace and dedication to mate and community. This analogy determines the archetype of the Wild Woman, a woman in contact with her authentic self, capable of trusting her intuition as a guiding force, be filled with avid creativity, wisdom and natural confidence. Live abundantly once more, reclaim and awaken from centuries where value systems made insignificant emotional truth, and true feminine strength."
