I'm not very often for Brit pop, but I caught a few seconds of these guys live on Kimmel. Had either a Jazzmaster (or Jaguar, I only caught the tail end) and an SG -- they both had great tone, and had such a wonderful contrast together. Added in some tasteful hammond organ, and just hold the groove and accent only when needed bass lines. They were performing this song. Now I can't speak for their whole catalog of material, but this song as done in that performance had fantastic guitar tone, and its just missing from so much of what is out there now. Had a few effects, but they were tasteful & never killed the tone. Was just a really good performance. Will have to check these boys out live sometime.
