Its funny how the message that growing your own food is freedom keeps getting repeated through this and similar videos. For thousands of years, most likely since the foundation of agriculture being directly tied to your own food production was in fact slavery. They had different names for them like serfs, mitna workers, indentured servants, subsistence farmers... There are exceptions of course, Thomas Jefferson envisioned a nation of free individuals engaged in agriculture but history has shown that his vision wasn't exactly sustainable in the face of industrialization and foreign powers.
Also I am highly skeptical about the anti GMO movement. The real fact is that all the crops we plant today exist nowhere in nature. They have in fact genetically engineered to exist how they do today. Broccoli is descended from a cabbage like plant for example. While I agree unregulated tampering with the food supply is not a good thing it would be foolish to ignore the potential benefits of genetically modified foods. Such as feeding billions who aren't currently eating abroad and right here in the United States. Attempts to increase agricultural output is not only important but vital to the survival of the species, especially if we reach numbers in the 10 and 20 billions. It should not be made illegal because of fear mongering.
The image in the video of the people in biosuits walking around crops that has a biohazard sign is clearly staged. Propaganda is not a good way to bring intelligent people to your side. Thats what the enemy uses to brainwash people instead of treating us like thinking and free people.
Growing your own food is a great thing but it will not make you free. We need broader political and sociological change if we are ever going to attain freedom. And there is no short answer we all have to do way more if we really care about our children.
Path to Freedom shows us how we each, in our own way, could make a difference in the world through our use of wasted space, by how and what we eat, and by becoming more self-sufficient.
