cworldspin rated 10 days ago- amazing it just formed a hook to get that object

dsai588 rated 4 months ago- I think it should be shown to 1 grade students along with that famous story, as pictures, rather videos are alwayz better than text

spix14 rated 4 months ago- Freaking cool. I'd always heard crows were intelligent but I'd never seen it in action!

Mijofrank rated 5 months ago- that's right. he just made an effing hook. did it blow your mind?

Kibiyama rated 6 months ago- That's pretty badass. Octopi are also capable of problem-solving.

- I read that crows are the only non-primates known to be able to use creative problem solving. That crow probably realized that it needed a hook, and could make the hook, without having encountered the situation before. Another experiment showed that crows would use one tool to get another, if the first proved inadequate.

nooner rated 6 months ago- StumbleVideo: "Crow intelligence" I was shopping in a department store one day and a loud voice kept repeating, "hey pretty boy what are you doing tonight?" I followed the sound and it turned out to be a parrot in a pet shop. It had a female sounding voice. If I was a pirate I would have stole it. Ravens inhabit this area. They hang around town all winter flocking in noticeable numbers. I was parked in front of a dumpster at the government building one day waiting for my spouse to get off work and all of a sudden a big piece of cardboard comes flying out of the bin for no apparent reason causing me to go..what(?). Shortly a big fat raven hops up on the edge of the bin from inside and perches there croaking sarcastically at me and looking as though he'd prefer I'd move on.

AlmostDrunk rated 7 months ago- looks like someone trained a crow to do amazing feats of problem solving. it's time to destroy all crows and assassinate whichever group of scientists put them up to this. they're still my favorite birds, though.

vanvogt rated 8 months ago- The intelligence that crows display is amazing.
