Still catching up from 2007 ?
Macho owls, elephant "Caller ID," dolphin dialects, extinct giant penguins, carbon-removing icebergs, health through daily chocolate, electronic arti- ficial snot, "zombie" cockroaches - it's all there ! My, but our scientists had a busy year ! Thanks to that ever-alert Stumbler, Jackanapes, for sending this along !

50 things that we learned in 2007. Some examples: "Skin cancer is 20 percent more common on the left side of the body." "Onions contain a sulfur-based antioxidant that binds with harmful toxins in the brain and flushes them out of the body, helping to prevent memory loss." "Infants born to mothers who eat fruits while breastfeeding will be more receptive to eating those foods later in life."
