The media seems to be repeating the idea that we use just 10% of our brains and taking it as a given. In fact it is very... more

I wonder if the rich used this old excuse to explain why people were poor...they just weren't trying hard enough...they were wasting 90% of their brain. Therefore they do not deserve help. From the page: "The media seems to be repeating the idea that we use just 10% of our brains and taking it as a given. Scientists have tried for years to change this misconception and they have clearly stated that there is no scientific evidence to suggest that we use only 10% of our brains. In fact it is very hard to say what using just 10% of your brain means. "

Always suspected it was a misconception. Glad to have someone confirm it.

It never occurred to me to think about this. Perhaps I haven't heard the saying recently? So true though.

although i never truly believed 10% brain use theory which often people quoted and even sick of hearing when in same instance they say that Einstein used his brain up to 40%
