barefootwanderer discovered 7 months ago- zeroHouse - fantastic Architectural idea

tbhurst rated 3 days ago- oooooh. The Zero House.

Khry rated 7 weeks ago- "zeroHouse generates its own electrical power, collects its own water and deals with its own waste". Fantastic idea. But, by guessing the costs to achieve such efficiency, it sure is a conquest for developing country citizens, only...

edub52 rated 2 months ago- Conceptually, I like it. It's clean, efficient, and it appeals to my inner geek. But the interior has "Scandinavian motorhome" written all over it. A nice Scandinavian motorhome, but motorhome-esque nevertheless.

bablih rated 2 months ago- wow! very cool house.

tree-lights rated 3 months ago- A self-sustaining ecohouse. It's too modern a design for my tastes, but not having to chock over my money to some energy company sounds pretty awesome to me!

topsurf rated 3 months ago- Check out The Zero House, very cool dwelling!

wynandviljoen rated 4 months ago- Great Design. Made good use of the roof plane and highlighted it very well with the long overhang. Also made some good use of basic forms to create spaces on the interior and exterior.

choim rated 4 months ago- House is on-track in the good directions. Now, the wind-catching solar-panel is a weakness in most areas and I see equal possible solar-panel area wasted on the rest of the roof. R-58 insulation is a great idea, meaning probably that only body-heat will keep the house warm but the outgassing of the closed-cell foam insulation has to have a deliterious effect on health in the long-term especially with all windows closed in cold climates. Lastly, it doesn't have to be this ugly and square like it was purchased from Ikea and assembled like cheap furniture. All-in-all I love it. I would probably put the waste-system anywhere except under the house... no system functions perfectly and who wants odors or filth under the house.
