I maintain that is far easier to suspend your disbelief when looking at intricately crafted miniatures than it is with superficially more impressive CGI.

The work done on this film and its sequel, in terms of set design and minitatures is phenomenal, and soon to be ancient history too.

Snapshot memories from the film "Alien" ...1971, those times when chroma key didn't exist, and you had to do lots of craftsmanship if you wanted your sci-fi movie to be awesome =P
