nutrient3 rated 6 months ago- I haven't read Upton Sinclair's book yet but I did watch the film and it was amazing. It's quite long but the story and acting were incredible. Of course there will be people whose capacity for appreciating beauty is a bit.... more quaint... than the rest of us, and such people may not like it. Thankfully, there are filmmakers who do not pander to individuals whose attentions are held only by flashing lights and sparkly things. Also, it goes without saying that Daniel Day Lewis is incredible.

- I have read part of the book "Oil" by Sinclair Lewis. I just noticed this movie this morning and that it is based on this novel. This is a must see movie for me.
