Ram Jam ~ "Black Betty"------ Old Leadbelly song given new life in 1977 by the Rock band Ram Jam. Guitarist/Lead vocalist Bill Bartlett was lead guitarist of 60s band The Lemon Pipers who had a hit with "Green Tambourine."

My kid just played this one for me. He substituted my name for "Black Betty". I'm sorry but I've been laughing ever since.

Classic rock at it's finest. Damn fine music. I find inspiration in books, poems, movies, etc. But something about good tunes just gets me seriously stoked. A life without music is like food without salt; functional but not tasty.
