mr-damon discovered 14 months ago- "US home prices (1890-present), adjusted for inflation and plotted as a moving roller coaster."

statoun rated 2 weeks ago- The Case-Shiller graph of real estate prices since 1890, set up as a roller coaster ride... WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

CeciliaSherrard rated 3 months ago- Awesome animation of housing prices over the years... Maybe it's just because I'm a coaster enthusiast...or real estate enthusiast... or because I'm just enthusiastic... Whatever, just watch it.

drivelmaster rated 6 months ago- What a lovely little toy someone has developed. I'm sure that they are on the forefront of finding a solution to the roller-coaster ride they have taken such pains to demonstrate, right? Oh, so they don't have ANY suggestions? Then they should sit down, and keep their mouth shut!

This is a visualization of real house prices since 1890 using a rollercoaster. Wait until the end! Videos embedded with Greasemonkey's videoembed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUldGc06S3U&feature=related Amazin g visualization technique. Comment by Spineboy: "The graph data was from APRILs housing data, and we've already had about a 10-15% drop from the 2005 prices. For those who don't know, this is a plot of the Case-Schiller housing index price, which has been accurate since data was kept - from 1890. Median home price data, etc are all skewed/don't reflect the market, since cheaper houses aren't selling. Goldman-Sachs, and other firms/investors, are expecting a 35-40% drop in California housing prices!!!" As an aside and illustrating the total folly of some market analysts, check this video added May 17, 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoZV5jt9puc&feature=related
