- it's not supercooled anything. it's probably some supersaturated liquid that crystallizing from shock of hitting that bowl. if anything, it's probably hot. mad corny people are....

- you may be familiar with superheated water in microwave - it instantly boils when disturbed, how about supercooled water? This is very nicely done video
