To all the people that are bitching that he didn't actually answer her question: there's only one logical outcome to her question, which is: "What if I'm wrong? Well, obviously, that means that God does exist." Which simply brings everything back to "If God exists-- who created God? And if your answer is 'God has always existed', why not skip a step and say 'The universe has always existed'?" The only flaw in this video is that Dawkins attempts to answer an absolutely pointless question, which would make anyone look stupid.

I'm an anti-Dawkins atheist. I don't hate him but I think he very poorly expresses what he thinks (of the videos I've seen; I haven't read his book and probably won't just because it's not that big a deal to me).

I don't like this particular video because he does not answer the question. He just asks her her own question. Dumb ass.

Right, so instead of answering it professionally along the lines of "Yeah, I could be wrong, but so could any individual religion" he chose to make a baseless assumption and laugh at her with the rest of his audience? This is good PR, nothing more. I guess Hubbard was wrong about having to start a religion to gain money/fame/power - Dawkins seems to have found a winning formula too. Though to be fair, at least Dawkins is only willing to hurt people's feelings to make money.

A great response to that common belief 'that it can't hurt to be Christian but it hurts to be atheistic, because if we're wrong then we go to Christian hell.' What if a Christian who has been a terrible person is wrong and even though they have repented, the world works by reincarnation and they come back as a fruit-fly for their negative karma. What then?
