- much better method is to hold the deck by the long sides with your right hand over the top of the deck(not under), tilt deck down so it's level to the ground. with your pinkie finger of right hand slide bottom card back slightly this will expose the 2nd card, with left hand pull 2nd card from front of deck and place it down on table...
