Okay. For one thing "building a plane while it's in the air" is suppose to be a bad thing. It's a criticism of how beta's are passed off as finished products. Vista, for instance, with all its deficiencies, is an unfinished vehicle. This is brilliantly done though.

Seems like it says "we'll give you incomplete software so we have to continue working on the product and it will never be complete -- we'll always being fixing, repairing and building on it."

This is what every software developer says makes their engineering discipline unique - that the specs are changing while the product is being built. You can see the risks for yourself. As for the ad, this has to be from the same agency that did the 'herding cats' commercial. That's the other truth about intelligent people with strong abstraction skills (like software developers) "building digital business" - haven't I heard that somewhere before?

OK, that is just about the WORST publicity move for a software consulting company, ever. Message conveys, "programmers are guaranteed to put your business and your livelihoods at risk, be sure NOT to plan and build before deploying!" Funny video, though.
