Ron Paul is a true character, a man of whom we can proudly say "that's a _real_ American".
But he treats the law as if it were mathematics, and Einstein had the last word on that: "So far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain. And so far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality."
How I can make this point and simultaneously believe that upholding the Constitution is so important that only the word "sacred" fits baffles me. It's got something to do with the observation that all deterministic systems can be gamed (or, in its older form, eternal vigilance is the price of liberty).
andy60607 rated 11 months ago- that first minute speech made me want to start rioting woodstock 99 style. But seriously, well put Ron. I know how vulnerable it felt to say things like that during that time, not as eloquently but im in texas so i get bonus points.
MikeyBee5 rated 10 months ago- RON PAUL called it.
psykroll rated 10 months ago- Uh, DUH! Thanks for everything you've tried to do in Congress, Dr. Paul.
